What books have you bought recently? I have a confession! I recently just bought A LOT of books. A. Lot. Wolverine and The Kid have both said, “Um, Mummy, we’re getting a lot of boxes from Amazon, and none of them are for us.” Which is not true. Not at all. Now, The Kid and Wolverine aren’t liars, per se, they just aren’t with me when I click ADD TO CART. Also, Wolverine, doesn’t call me Mummy. Just to clarify.
Wolverine recently got Batman 100 graphic novel something or other as well as The Best American Comics of 2009, edited by Charles Burns, as well as From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweil by E.L. Konigsburg.
Now, before you go crazy and start thinking I am starting my own bookshop (which would be grand) I bought these books on the CHEAP. Used. Practically free. Some of them were $1.00.
In no particular order of when I will read them, some recent purchases include:
The Feast of the Goat: A Novel by Mario Vargas Llosa, Edith Grossman
The Gathering (Man Booker Prize) by Anne Enright
So Brave, Young, and Handsome: A Novel by Leif Enger
City of Thieves: A Novel by David Benioff
Pirate Latitudes: A Novel by Michael Crichton
